Oakland Care Named Finalist in the 2026 Care Home Awards
We’re delighted to see Oakland Care named as a finalist in the 2026 Care Home Awards, recognising their work to rethink how technology can support better care for residents and stronger outcomes for care teams.
The Care Home Awards celebrate organisations across the UK that are leading the way in quality, innovation and resident experience. Oakland Care has been shortlisted in the Best for Use of Technology and Digital Care Strategy category, highlighting their commitment to embedding digital insight into everyday care practice.
Over the past year, Oakland Care has taken a thoughtful approach to improving night-time care. By introducing Ally Cares technology, and integrating overnight insight with their digital care records, the team has been able to move away from routine overnight checks towards a more responsive, needs-led model of care.
This shift is helping teams intervene earlier, reduce unnecessary disturbance to residents’ sleep and respond more proportionately to genuine need during the night. It also provides clearer evidence to support decision-making, giving staff greater confidence while helping families better understand how their loved ones are cared for overnight.
The result is a calmer night-time environment, where residents can rest more naturally and teams are able to focus their attention where it is most needed.
Thomas Tredinnick, CEO and Co-Founder of Ally Cares, said:
“What’s impressive about Oakland Care is that they haven’t just introduced technology, they’ve used it to rethink how night-time care works. By embedding insight into everyday care practice, their teams are able to intervene earlier, protect residents’ sleep and make more confident decisions overnight. It’s fantastic to see that work recognised by the Care Home Awards.”
The finalists will come together in May 2026, when the winners of the Care Home Awards will be announced.
From everyone at Ally Cares, congratulations to the Oakland Care team and best of luck for the awards in May.
